La-Duo(라-듀오) "Cheek to cheek" 라이브 동영상

작년 9월 대전대학교 목요문화마당은 우리나라 여성 보컬리스트 이유진과 일본 남성 기타리스트 하타 슈지가 이룬 재즈 듀오 'La -Duo(라-듀오)'의 재즈 콘서트로 혜화문화관 블랙박스에서 열렸다.

 

이번 라이브 동영상은 <Cheek to Cheek(뺨을 맞대고)>.

이 노래는 미국의 고전 팝송으로서 1935년 개봉된 영화 'Top Hat'에서 Irving Berlin 작곡, Fred Astaire 노래로 처음 소개되었다. 그 후 글렌 밀러, 루이 암스트롱, 엘라 피쳐제럴드, 프랭크시나트라 등 수십 명의 가수들에 의해 리바이벌 되었다.

그리고 영화OST로서도 많이 삽입되었는데, 특히 1996년 아카데미상을 수상한 'The English Patient'에 삽입되면서 널리 알려졌다. 이 밖에도 '레 미제라블(1995)' 'The Green Mile' 'Rain Man'과 같은 영화에도 삽입되었었다.

"나는 천국에 있으며, 말할 수 없을 정도로 가슴은 뛰고, 뺨을 맞대고 함께 춤을 추고 있을땐 난 내가 찾는 행복을 찾은 느낌이다"로 시작되는 가사로서, 뺨을 맞대고 춤추는 것이 그 무엇보다도 행복하며 인생의 모든 것을 다 찾은 느낌으로서 뺨을 맞대고 함께 춤추는(together dancing cheek to cheek) 행복을 노래하고 있다.
